FG announces recruitment into Immigration, NSCDC, Correctional, Fire Service

The federal government has officially announced the recruitment of 30,000 personnel into four major paramilitary agencies across the country.
In a statement released Tuesday, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) confirmed that the recruitment drive covers the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
“The application portal will open on June 26 at recruitment.cdcfib.org,” the board stated.
The CDCFIB said applicants must be Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 and 35, and must meet certain physical and medical requirements.
“Male applicants are expected to be at least 1.65m tall with a chest measurement of not less than 0.87m, while the minimum height for female applicants is 1.60m,” the board added.
Applicants are also required to be of good character with no criminal record. Candidates must possess at least a Senior Secondary School Certificate with four or five credits, including English and Mathematics.
“Those with higher qualifications such as NCE, OND, HND, bachelor’s degrees in relevant fields like law and medicine, or trade certifications for technical roles are also encouraged to apply,” the CDCFIB noted.
It further warned that candidates must apply to only one agency, as “multiple applications will lead to disqualification.”
The recruitment portal will remain open for three weeks from the date of launch.
