Jandor officially joins APC: The Saudi Arabia meeting with GAC members

Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, a former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, has officially joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Adediran, who was the PDP’s 2023 Lagos State governorship candidate, defected to the APC in March.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Pastor Gbenga Ogunleye, on Thursday in Lagos, Adediran revealed that he was welcomed by the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC), led by Prince Tajudeen Olusi.
“In a significant display of unity, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, Jandor, was warmly received by the Lagos State GAC Chairman, Prince Tajudeen Olusi; Chief Rabiu Oluwa, Badagry Division Apex Leader of APC and fellow GAC member; Sen. Ganiu Olanrewaju Solomon; and Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro,” Adediran said.
The reception took place in Saudi Arabia, during the Umrah pilgrimage.
“This meeting, held in the sacred city, was a symbolic moment for engagement between key Lagos political stakeholders, emphasising the importance of unity,” Adediran added.
He further stated, “This encounter demonstrates our shared commitment to the progress and unity of Lagos State, highlighting the enduring values of collective responsibility and synergy to advance the ruling party’s vision.”
NAN also recalls that Adediran resigned from the PDP on March 3, citing indiscipline and betrayal by party leaders.
Adediran, who once led the Lagos4Lagos Movement, was also a former APC governorship aspirant. He had defected to the PDP from APC in 2021.
