JUST IN: Gunmen abduct two Benue varsity students

Gunmen, believed to be kidnappers, have seized four female students from Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University Makurdi (JOSTUM), previously known as the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi (FUAM).
A senior staff member of the school said the students identified as Emmanuella Oraka, Fola, Susan and Ella, were intercepted by the armed men on Tuesday, between 8:30 and 9 pm when they left their hostel to read at the North Core area of the school campus.
However, the Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Catherine Anene, confirmed that only two students were kidnapped.
Authorities in the school had yet to issue any official statement on the incident.
