JUST IN: Popular journalist, Tim Elombah, arrested in Awka

Nigerian journalist and media executive, Tim Elombah, has been arrested by officers of the Nigeria Police Force in Anambra State.
Mr. Tim is affiliated with Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), an online television network operated by Nigerians in the diaspora.
A statement by the media organisation made available to The Witness on Saturday said Tim was picked up on Saturday, July 5, from his residence in Awka and subsequently transferred to the Force Headquarters by operatives of the Intelligence Unit for questioning.
The online media said his arrest followed a petition by a prominent estate developer.
As of the time of filing this report, the exact details of the petition remain undisclosed by the authorities.
