Lagos shifts 2025 public service examinations to May 23

The Lagos State Government has postponed the 2025 Public Service Examinations, earlier scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, to a new date—Friday, May 23, 2025.
The Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday, explaining that the decision was necessary to uphold the integrity and fairness of the examination process.
“The decision was taken to ensure the integrity of the examination process and guarantee a fair experience for all candidates,” Orunsolu stated.
The announcement, made via the official X account of the state government, was met with mixed reactions while providing candidates additional time to prepare.
Orunsolu further assured that revised schedules for specific papers would be communicated through official channels, and urged candidates to regularly check the Examinations Board portal at examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng for updates.
“Candidates are reminded to retain their registration details and print their examination slips before the announcement of the new dates,” he added, reaffirming the state’s commitment to a credible and transparent examination process.
