Top PR consultant, Kayode Akinyemi, loses mother

Kayode Akinyemi, a Lagos State-based public relations consultant, former Head of Corporate Communications at the defunct Skye Bank (now Polaris Bank), and former Director General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Strategic Communications, has announced the passing of his mother, Victoria Oja Bodunde Akinyemi.
In a statement released to the media on Saturday, it was disclosed that Mama Akinyemi passed away peacefully in the early hours of Friday, June 14, 2026.
Aged 85, she was a devout Christian and a respected member of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Iyanu, Afao-Ekiti, Ekiti State. She served as a representative of the Good Women Society and was a longtime member of the church choir.
As a dedicated community leader and philanthropist, she held the title of Iya Egbe (Chairlady) of the Egbe Igbotoluwa in Afao-Ekiti.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
May her soul rest in peace.
