A Nigerian-born British citizen, Oyedipe Andrew Adejuwon, and his British collaborator, Mhizha Jordan Alexander Tatendra, have been sentenced to eight years in jail by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos for the importation of Cannabis Sativa into Nigeria.

MHIZHA JORDAN ALEXANDER TATENDRA was charged with conspiring with other unknown persons to import 51.10 kilogrammes of Cannabis Sativa. OYEDIPE ANDREW ADEJUWON, also a British citizen, was accused of procuring MHIZHA JORDAN ALEXANDER TATENDRA to import the said narcotic drug from the United Arab Emirates.

Upon arraignment and reading of the amended charge, both defendants pleaded guilty. Following this, the facts of the case were reviewed by the prosecutor from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
